Can't help it--it's Halloween! :) I'm now back in NC, taking a break from work for a couple months while preparing for seminary. I'm enjoying time with family & friends, enjoying God's gift of restoration from a frazzled & hectic environment as He reminds me to rest in Him & rely on Him for all I need. There are certainly many things I prefer in NYC to here, but when family is somewhere, being with them for an extended period of time eclipses the things you don't like. Besides, NC at this time of year is especially pretty with the changing leaves, & driving is always a great time to see God's beauty!
I'm about a third of the way through the Bible--although now I need to focus on it even more! Hopefully my reading will speed back up now that I'm in the routine of things again.
Here is an article I found interesting. I have a friend who just graduated from divinity school, & I like reading some of the articles she posts.
Today's lesson was on the first part of Ephesians 5--about being imitators of God, living pure lives, & being children of light. It was a great reminder of who God is & how we can show Him to others.
