Halfway

It's spring break--finally!--& I just returned from visiting my grandparents in Great Bend. We had a wonderful visit & it was a much needed break for me from schoolwork (even though now I have entirely plenty to keep me on my toes the rest of the week!). The feeling of being halfway done with the semester is fabulous, & makes it even more fun to dream of summer plans & vacations!

I have liked my Theology class more than I thought I would. We have a three phase paper in there & this week I'll be completing the second phase. It's been fun to read, contemplate, & write about God's work as I read it in the scriptures. His love & protection of his creation is evident every time I turn the page of my Bible!

This weekend was Purim. I had a party a week ago that went superbly! We had a fantastic time acting out the shpiel & dancing to Fiddler songs. :)

Another blessing has been the friendships that have been developing with other students here. While I hoped I'd make friends, it's never easy to know how long it will take to form those relationships. I'm thankful for the culture at my school & the openness of everyone to get to know new people. Missing friends while away this week was a joy even as I was so thankful to be close enough to visit my grandparents!

This post by a friend made me think about my family, relationships, goals, & accomplishments. Spending time with my grandparents this week & thinking about my grandfather in TN have also served to make me reflect. It's so easy to be comfortable in each current situation--with school, work, a location, & family structure & relationships. My prayer is that I would see my relationships as important & uncertain in time so I don't hold anything back from those people God has blessed me with.
