What do you think of when you read these words? What is a covenant? Why would a new one be needed? This week in Sunday School I was privileged to be able to teach, & we talked about Jeremiah 30-33, concentrating on chapter 31. It was so exciting to look at the basis for what we call our "new covenant." As part of the lesson, I challenged the class to write out that covenant. I will post some of what they came up with next week.
I am excited about being at Ridgecrest for the Singles' Labor Day Experience in four weeks! It's going to be a great weekend with family, friends, & strangers. :) And by strangers, I probably mean the Simons since we MAKE it stranger!
My class is still going well. This week we read about the corporate disciplines: confession, worship, guidance, & celebration. I am thankful that as a church we can practice these disciplines together as part of our relationship to each other & God. It's amazing how he created us for community!
